No nonsense advice. Has helped me deal with screwed up family members.
**great book** so says my boyfriend!! June 22, 2006 2 out of 3 found this review helpful
My boyfriend bought this kind of as a joke, and on a whim at the grocery store. Weird thing is, he is actually reading it. I've peaked in it and it looks great. From what he says, it is insightful and witty. Recommended.
Found This Book At A Rest Area On The NJ Turnpike May 18, 2005 8 out of 9 found this review helpful
Unfortunately, you will come in contact with hundreds of screwed-up people. You may have to live with one or work with one. This book will show you how to deal with and be with a screwed-up person without becoming screwed-up yourself. The book is well-written and the ideas and techniques in the book really do work.
Finding Freedom and Peace in Difficult Relationships August 3, 2003 5 out of 5 found this review helpful
Incredible insight into resolving difficult relationships. Easy to read. Witty. Practical. Easily understood principles that are explained like keys that unlock steps to resolve impasses. Practical. I've tried many of the concepts and they work!
Everyday Coping Skills, A Great Read! August 7, 2000 14 out of 14 found this review helpful
This easy to read book is a breath of fresh air in the myriad of "self-help" books. Elizabeth sensitively handles everyday frustrations in a way that is uplifting without being too heavy to read or remember. She provides down-to-earth, practical tactics to arm anyone in an emotionally-charged situation. A good start to changing yourself too. Thanks! I've passed copies on to my friends.
