It was ok January 24, 2005 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
In Mandie and the Night thief the mystery is ok and I enjoyed the book, but it seems to me that Mandie is starting to turn into a lady. I wish she wouldn't. Those of you who have read earlier Mandie books may remember that Mandie was determined not to turn into a lady. Comeon the mysteries won't be any fun if Mandie always acts like a lady. I was so mad at Celia and Tommy when they wouldn't let Mandie climb over the wall that I wanted to punch them. I hope that Mrs. Leppard isn't planning on making Mandie into a "lady" like her mother is. I mean her mother has absolutely no guts. Oh yay this book is good and I'm sure you would like it . I just wish that with all those boys together there would have been a bit more friction. You HAVE to read it!!!
Okay October 13, 2003 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
The plot of this book was good, but I was very dissopointed with the ending. It didn't give a very good explanation about the theif and there was also a mystery that was never explained. I'm sure the next one will be better!
Bored all-the-way through! September 29, 2003 0 out of 4 found this review helpful
This was NOT one of her better books. I was disappointed about the whole plot, but I was happy to see that Mandie has grown up somewhat. I wish she would stop doing things that are wrong and listen to her friends advice. I was bored with this book and had really hoped for a mystery, but I never found one. Hope the next one is better.
