Product Description Has Jennie Stumbled Into Something She'll Never Escape? Jennie McGrady is thrilled to be taking another flying lesson from Gram. But when menacing clouds roll in, Gram must take over the controls for a crash landing?and loses consciousness upon contact. Ignoring her survival instincts, Jennie leaves the plane in search of help. She ends up at a commune that appears wholesome and serene, but Jennie soon suspects something sinister. Eric, a member of the Desert Colony, knows the ins and outs of the compound and helps Jennie search for Gram. When they return to the site of the crash, the plane?along with Gram?is missing! But when Jennie suspects someone at the Colony, Eric insists there's nothing going on. Is he really so trusting, or is he hiding something? Donovan is the Desert Colony's leader and claims that he's doing everything he can to contact her family. As the days pass, however, Jennie doubts Donovan's motives and begins to think the Colony is a front for something illegal. Could he be involved in Gram's disappearance?

You won't want to put it down! June 14, 2002 I found this book at my local library and didn't realize that it was part of a series until I got home. I read the book anyway and now I am really happy that she wrote many others in the series! This is such a good book and I am glad I found another great author!!
On the Edge June 14, 2002 Stranded, written by Patricia H. Rushford, is an action-packed, fun-filled mystery starring Jennie McGrady, a daring teenage detective. Jennie meets new people, goes new places, and solves the case, catching the crooks red-handed. Patricia H. Rushford is an awesome author. She keeps you at the edge of your seat and this book is no exception! This book was captivating and well-written. Its interest level ranges from ages 11 to 15 because it is easy to read, yet appeals to older teens. I give this book five stars!
Jennie McGrady Is Not Your Average Nancy Drew June 5, 2002 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
We all love the good mystrey every once in a while. Rushford definitly feeds your crazing. She writes with such elegance including all the detials, but the stories never seem too conicendential. I would recommend this book to anyone that has ever what goes on behind the closed doors of a religious group. I have to say, I was werry to read when i found out what it was about, but the way she protrays the cult is not too graphic for the younger readers. Once again Rushford gets 5 stars on my list!!
Best Series I have ever read August 28, 2001 1 out of 2 found this review helpful
Hey, this book is awesome, just like the last 13. Mrs. Rushford is the best author I know. I have read her books for the past 4 years. I have read all the books she has about Jennie McGrady except for Number 7, I can't seem to find it anywhere. I have read the books over and over again. This Book was great. I loved reading how Jennie was trying to figure out what was going on and no matter how dangerous and scared you are God has put you here for a reason. I hope this isn't the last book, I hope to read more about Jennie. I wonder if Eric and Jennie's relationship will be in the next books to come because they really seem to like each other. I hope Jennie can choose between the guy she cares about....
ONE OF HER BEST August 4, 2001 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
This book will keep you in the edge of your seat the entire time!First, she and Gram are in a plane crash and Gram is unconcious, so she goes for help in a snow storm. She meets a guy named Eric and he takes her back to where he lives, wich is Desert Colony. She dosen't feel like she can trust andybody there and thinks something strange is going on. As the strange mystery of Desert Colony unfoldes you'll be amazed of what adventures she goes through this time! I was also wondering if somebody could tell me if this is the last book of the series for Patricia?
