Mark of the Lioin January 7, 2009 Book came in shape it was suggested - and on time - very happy with the service and the quality
was transported back in time!!! December 11, 2008 Words can't describe how this series, and so far 2 of Francine Rivers novellas, have made me feel. I haven't read for fun in a LONG time. My sister recommended the series to me and I am IN LOVE with reading again! What a joy to sit down and pour myself into the lives of the characters; weep with them, rejoice with them and see history come ALIVE! Sooo much better than sitting and watching TV! I felt like I was living in Jerusalem, Rome, Ephesus. In fact, I felt like I was a fly on the wall watching everything happen! I just got the third book and am torn about starting it, because the sooner I start it, the sooner the series will be over. :(
I'm telling you I have NEVER been so moved by a book, let alone ALL of the ones I have read by Francine Rivers. You WON'T regret purchasing the series. MAKE SURE you read the first one first!!!! I made a boo-boo and got the second (by accident) then the first, still awesome but not as wonderful as I'm sure it could have been.
I am truly surprised at how much closer I have drawn to the Lord just by reading them!
Fine reader November 10, 2008 You will love this story. I found myself envisioning each character and became very caught up in the story. It is harder reading than Redeeming Love but also very good.
Mark of the Lion series (3) November 1, 2008 The first 3-4 chapters are hard to follow as they are completely three different stories, but then by the 5th chapter they all come together and you will NOT be able to put the book down. The story continues in the other two books and likewise you will not want to stop reading. They are so good and you can learn so much of those times just by reading these books. I had actually already read all 3 books (borrowed from a friend), but I wanted the series for myself so I could share with others. They are truly a series you want to read.
