Product Description Rayford Steele and Cameron ("Buck") Williams find themselves pressed into service for the man they believe could be the Antichrist. Nicholae Carpathia takes over the United Nations, signs a peace treaty with Israel, and begins to lure the nations of earth together to form one global village. Meanwhile, the judgment of God begins to fall on the earth. Buck and Rayford, along with their pastor and Rayford's daughter, must fight to stay alive and battle the forces of evil in the strength of their fledgling, newfound faith.
Amazon.com Review Take a pound of apocalyptic suspense, add a dash of conspiracy, a little romance, and you've got a recipe for publishing success. When authors Tim LaHaye and Jerry Jenkins first imagined Left Behind, their goal was to create "...the first fictional portrayal of events that are true to the literal interpretation of Bible prophecy." Left Behind began as a sleeper, starting slowly and building steadily, selling by word of mouth. Eventually the book became a bestseller and LaHaye and Jenkins discovered that the story would take more than one book to tell, so they continued the tale in Tribulation Force. Set against the backdrop of the Rapture, in which Jesus has returned as promised to gather his followers and remove them from this world, the characters in Tribulation Force must confront life without their loved ones, struggle with evil unleashed on the world, and ultimately embrace God's truth for themselves. Pilot Rayford Steele, his daughter Chloe, journalist Buck Williams, and pastor Bruce Barnes band together to study the Bible, pray, and support one another through this time of terror and uncertainty. They realize that Nicolae Carpathia is the prophesied Antichrist, as they watch him consolidate his power. Buck and Rayford find themselves employees of Nicolae, keeping their faith in Jesus secret so that they can continue to work and share their faith unhindered while secretly fighting the Antichrist with the other members of the tribulation force. The authors have drawn a story of intrigue and adventure set against a cataclysm of global proportions. Readers captivated by Left Behind will certainly want to read Tribulation Force.

Tribulation Force December 2, 2008 As with the first book in the series, I find it very hard to put them down. I just want to know what is going to happen next. I am now on the 4th in the series and they are all just as good as this. I just wish they were in stock at the stores so I do not have to wait for them, but have learned and keep ordering them two at a time. Great Series! would highly recommend.
One of the best books ever! December 1, 2008 The whole series is great! If you didn't believe before, trust me u will believe now!
Bad group name, good book. November 19, 2008 Where I think the name of the Force is hokey and overblown the book in and of itself isn't bad. The characters are good and compelling the subject interesting and frightening. Esp. being a Christian, it's scarey that this could happen in my future. Obviously, it's a work of fiction, so it's not to be taken literally but as an entertainment. However, it does give an idea how people can be taken in and controlled by evil. As for some of the characters the only one, at this point that aggrevates me is Chloe Steele. Arrogant, feministic, bitchy, and just a down right brat. Her attitude was pretty much ok in the first book...but they really blossomed her into an annoying person in this one. Where she and Buck are having a chat in her livingroom about a misunderstanding, she acts feministic but just like a spruned girl who want s a guy to read her mind. Totally ridiculous. They have Buck having all the patience in the world with her where the everyday man would've gotten fed-up with her baby antics a whole lot sooner. Yet he still wants to be with her. Whatever! Then they portray them like junior high schoolers in love. Barely touching or holding hands or kissing. Yeah, I wasn't expecting them to jump into bed together, esp. after a conversion experience but jezz! They are human, and Christianity will change your life but you're still going to have human vices and flaws...they pretend in this series that you immediately turn into a Christ-like person, no flaws, no vices. Ludicrous. Wish it were that simple. Jesus will work in your life, absolutely, but you're still human, prone to human mistakes, carelessness and desires, you have to pray and work at it. Being strong in the Lord is something you develope over time, not in the first strike of lightening.. You are NOT a perfect being. They barely touch on this. The whole courtship of Buck and Chloe was way to sedate and elementary...not realistic at all.
Overall, it was a good read, easy and entertaining.
Tribulation Force August 27, 2008 The book was advertised accurately and it was in fine shape when I received it.
Thanks
A light read considering the heavy subject material August 5, 2008 It's not hard too hard to understand why this series was so successful. It's written in a very easy to read style, the pacing is quick, the subject matter is very interesting, and it's obviously written in a style to appeal to women and men. The romance element of this book is a little strange; why in a book about the end times and the Antichrist is a romance element so prominent? (Does she like me? Does she not like me?) The book is definitely not as heavy as Randy Alcorn's Deadline (Ollie Chandler Series #1), which is more intellectually stimulating but a more challenging read. Having said that, I plan to read at least one more book in the series.
Two minor criticisms: The phone call from Eli at the end of the book was strange. When Buck had such as significant meeting with him earlier, it seems awkward to reduce Eli to a normal sounding phone conversation. The last 10-15 pages were awkward too. Why fast forward 18 months and change so many characters' situations so quickly?
