Product Description
Jason Tardin is trapped within a virtual world. He is sure of this- because he has seen the program. But if this is a computer generated world, how can he reconcile the complexity of its strange inhabitants, people capable of frustration, joy, and pain? Are they computer simulations- or more? And what about the power which allows him to create or control whatever he wishes? Is he a god, as the people of Vrin believe? Caught up in the politics of this mysterious world, haunted by a conversation with scientists on the outside, and stalked by a mad god, Jason Tardin must unravel the mystery to save a world- that is not his own. Woven with rich characters, and inextricably filled with secrets about dreams and the afterlife, ten mortal gods is a glimpse into the complex nature of human suffering, and the inescapable reality of eternal truth.

5 out of 5 stars Fantastic Novel!!!   June 20, 2008
I just re-read VRIN and was once again struck by what a well-written and interesting book it is. Once I started reading, I could not put it down, even though I've read it before (more than once!). The real test of a good book, is whether I'll read it multiple times, VRIN is definitely one of those books that is fun to read over and over!

4 out of 5 stars Vrin - An Original World   September 5, 2006

Vrin is a story of an interesting, intelligent world so creative and fascinating that it easy to imagine. I was completely wrapped up in the book after the first few chapters. There are many cliffhangers that keep you wondering what will happen next. The author does a good job of describing the surroundings and feelings of each scene. I am looking forward to another book by J.Michael Hileman.

4 out of 5 stars If you like fantasy   August 28, 2006

Then this book should be right up your alley. The ideas behind the novel are interesting concepts to play with and think about, and the novel itself is a fun read.
