Editorial Reviews:

Product Description
Picture a world intricately entwined with our own yet separate, pulsing with the raw energy and vivid color of Celtic myth come to life. Picture Albion. And enter Lewis Gillies, an Oxford student whose search for a missing friend leads him through a door to another reality -- and unimagined discoveries about life, good and evil, and his own identity and destiny. Having ascended the throne as Albion's High King, Llew takes the beautiful Goewyn for his queen. But in the midst of their joyous union, treachery is in the making -- forcing Llew to choose between the honor of his kingship and the desire of his heart. His decision drives him across the sea, far beyond Albion to the dark terrors and haunted wastes of the Foul Land. There, as the fabric of two worlds unravels, Llew hurtles headlong toward a final conflict with the Brazen Man. In the balance hangs not only the fate of Goewyn, but the very life-song of Albion, contained within the mystical Singing Stones.

5 out of 5 stars Great Fantasy   July 10, 2008
The last book in the series, it took me about a week to get through the first two books, and about 2 days to finisht his one, simply because I ran out of time and had spent an entire day reading. A great book that I simply could not put down, I would recommend this to anyone.

4 out of 5 stars Good Reading   December 29, 2007
The series were very good reading with well developed characters that evoke feelings, either love, admiration or loathe in you. I will have to confess my twin sons did not like the ending too much while I truly enjoyed all of it and the circular aspect of the books. There are plenty of reviews about the plot so I will not comment on that.

3 out of 5 stars Super Reader   August 27, 2007
A solid fantasy trilogy, with the often useful hook of placing a modern man into the setting - with the twist that he becomes one of the great Celtic heroes, but not quite how you expect. The other thing is that he is an arts grad student nerd, too, so even more surprising. Not remarkable though, certainly would not read it again. Everything ends mostly happily.

5 out of 5 stars Awesome!   June 27, 2007
I love Trilogies and when I saw all three of the Song of Albion series on sale together I decided to give them a try. I had never read SRL before, but the concept of this series really caught my attention. Needless to say I was hooked. I have since read just about everything SRL has written, since March!

As may have been mentioned before, the book takes a little while to get started (most Lawhead's books do), but it was all necessary backround and character development. I guess he could have just created a "time machine", but that wouldn't have been anywhere nearly as interesting a storyline Lawhead has created here. Part Fantasy, part historical fiction/speculation, I found this whole series both entertaining and educational and really created a good foundation for his other Celtic based storylines (i.e. Pendragon series, Hood, Celtic Crusades etc.) I don't know if it's just because this is first series of Lawhead's I read or what, but this is still my favorite SRL series, one which no doubt I will re-read more than once.

I would definetly start with the first book, The Paradise War, since this is a "true" trilogy, meaning it was meant to be a series right from the start and one book builds on the next with no "real" ending until the final chapter of this book.

5 out of 5 stars Hooked on Lawhead   March 9, 2007

Mr. Lawhead is one of those authors that you discover and wonder why you have never read him before. I started out on his new book Hood and hve not stopped. I devoured the whole Song of Albion trilogy in out four days and have also just finished Bynantium. While his story lines are certainly not always the same, he is always an excellent and entertaining read. You should of course have already read the first two volumes of the trilogy before you read this one but The Endless Knot will definitely satisfy the readers need for conclusion even if a quirky one.
