5 out of 5 stars A very important book   November 12, 2008
This was a helpful book-- and though while I picked it up in the end of my first two years, it contained all those things which I had discovered or learned through my hands-on experience. Even afterward, it's good to go back over the basics, which we sometimes forget. I would definitely suggest it for anyone interested in youth ministry, for youth who are leaders, or for resources for the church.

4 out of 5 stars On track with my experience, definitely recommended to any volunteer youth minister   November 10, 2008
I read this book after being a youth minister for about three years. It had some very good insights which I could relate to. They followed well with my experiences and difficulties as a new youth minister. I'd definitely recommend this to any new of volunteer youth minister.

I wish I would have had a book like this when I started my first youth ministry. I highly recommend this book for every new youth minister.

1 out of 5 stars A manual for cult leaders   November 17, 2007
4 out of 24 found this review helpful

Frightening insight into the mind of a charismatic cult leader and a manual for the seduction of young adolescent minds into the horrors of christian fundamentalism. Read this to understand that the enemy of our civilisation moves among us and as an aid to develop strategies to counter this most pernicious evil.
